About Eric Thorsen Custom Upholstery
In the 70’s I was very into the mini truck scene and was building my own show truck. When it came time for the upholstery, I found nothing but low quality, over pricing and less than professional business practices. Frustrated with the situation, I considered my options. Either put up with the way things were or do it myself. Obviously I chose the latter. After taking a upholstery class at a local vocational college, I rented my first sewing machine and the rest, as they say, is history. A combination of doing custom work for friends in the show car world, and taking apprentice jobs at various trim shops helped me gain knowledge through experience. Popularity came by way of many Best Interior awards at local and national events for my customers and myself. Currently we provide high quality work for all types including personal projects, magazine editors, professional builders, restoration shops, and automotive dealerships.
